Zonta Club of Midland Awards Grants To 11 Local Organizations

The Status of Women in Service Committee of the Zonta Club of Midland has selected eleven area organizations to receive service grants in 2021.  Recipients include Adventist Community Services; Affordable Housing Alliance of Midland County; Care Giving Network; Community Mental Health for Central Michigan; Family & Children’s Services of Mid-Michigan; Helping Hands Dental Clinic of Midland; LifeClinic Community Resources; Midland County Habitat for Humanity; Self Love Beauty; Shelterhouse of Midland and Gladwin Counties; and Midland Young Life.

A total of $11,000 in service grants will contribute towards helping local women and children with a variety of needs. Assistance will range from the funding to pay for transportation to medical care facilities, funding for on-line prenatal health programs for mothers, to purchasing supplies for the upcoming “Women Build Week” through Midland County Habitat for Humanity, co-pays for dental care, purchase of feminine products, funding for low income housing, and funding for programs and conferences to support women’s support efforts.
