The Zonta Club of Midland is pleased to announce that the Zonta Homewalk will be held in December with in-person and virtual tour options. The in-person tours will be December 4th and 5th, 1-5 pm, and the virtual tours will be available December 4th – 31st. One ticket provides access to both! The 40th Homewalk celebration includes five spectacular Midland area homes including one that was featured in the very first tour. The 2021 event has the flexibility of in-person and virtual tours so that everyone can participate. Zonta is partnering with Tridge Media Productions for the home videos which will include home information and history that may not be available during the in-person tours. The virtual tours will be great as a standalone view as well as a supplement for those who visit the homes. Tickets and more information available at ZontaClubofMidland.org.
Tickets are available from any member or purchase online! Sign up now to work Homewalk! Over the two days of the event 100 hosts are needed to staff the homes - that takes all club members plus many friends!
All club members are required to work at least one day of the Homewalk (and can work two!) or must provide a replacement. Volunteer signups are being managed through Sign Up Genius - click the link below to select the date and home you would like to work. If you have friends/family/significant others that would be willing to host/hostess, we could use them! Even after all remaining Zontians have signed-up, we are in need of 29 friends. They are welcome to attend the After Glow Party. Please forward this email to them. They can follow the link and sign-up. The Homewalk Committee is the only committee that works year-round and puts on the biggest fundraiser for the club. This year the committee had a big goal – reach $20,000 in sponsorships and they knocked it out of the park with a total of $20,650. That’s 25% more in sponsorships than 2016 and 39% more than 2015! The committee managed this feat even without a designated sponsorship chair by targeting a wider audience using a new business list provided by the Chamber of Commerce in addition to previous donors. Sandy Weimer, Melissa Anderson, Ellisa Olsen, Michele Atwell and Carole Calvert Baxter teamed up to mail letters, make many calls and secure the funding. |
