The Zonta Club of Midland is pleased to announce that the Zonta Homewalk will be held in December with in-person and virtual tour options. The in-person tours will be December 4th and 5th, 1-5 pm, and the virtual tours will be available December 4th – 31st. One ticket provides access to both! The 40th Homewalk celebration includes five spectacular Midland area homes including one that was featured in the very first tour. The 2021 event has the flexibility of in-person and virtual tours so that everyone can participate. Zonta is partnering with Tridge Media Productions for the home videos which will include home information and history that may not be available during the in-person tours. The virtual tours will be great as a standalone view as well as a supplement for those who visit the homes. Tickets and more information available at ZontaClubofMidland.org.
Tickets are available from any member or purchase online!
The Zonta Club of Midland members enjoyed our October meting last night with a special presentation by Katherine Redwine from the League of Women Voters. Katherine provided an update on the redistricting process in Michigan and the impact it will may have on future elections.
Fellowship also provided a timeline of the women's suffrage movement that members shared as part of the icebreaker and introductions.
Last on the agenda was a chance for Lisa Miner, member and friend to everyone, to practice her pageant introduction. Though she was a little surprised, because she forgot she had requested to be able to do it, she stood up and NAILED IT! Well done Lisa, it was very moving to hear the passion that you feel for Zonta, Self Love Beauty and your desire to help improve the lives of women in so many ways. We were all so captivated that none of us took photo!
